“緣分”和“命中注定”的英語翻譯

在日常生活中經(jīng)常會碰到“緣分”這兩個字，它在英語中的表達并不固定，不同的情況會有不同的選詞。請看譯例：
我們倆又在一起了，真有緣分。
So we are together again. It must be fate.
我們不知道他們是否有這個姻緣。
We don't know if there is predestined marriage between them.
也許他們命中注定無緣再相見。
Maybe it was their lot that they could never meet again.
他和他心愛的姑娘擦肩而過，這真是一個遺憾，但也說明他們有緣無分。
He brushed against his beloved girl. It was really a pity, and it was their luck
當然，“緣分”也有另一層意思，如“人緣”“有無發(fā)生聯(lián)系的機會”等。例如：
湯姆在同事中人緣很好。
Tom has very good relations with his colleagues
你還記得嗎？我們在校園里有過一面之緣。
Do you remember we happened to meet once on campus?
煙酒跟我沒有緣分。
Smoking and drinking don't appeal to me.
中文還有一個類似的表達，即“命中注定”，它在英語中也有不同的譯法，如："decreed by fate" "be fated to do sth."和"predestined"等。請看譯例：
他相信世間一切都是命中注定的.
He believes that everything in the world is decreed by fate.
她總認為她是命中注定該忍受這個不幸的婚姻，因而她并不想通過任何努力來擺脫它。
She always thought that she was fated to suffer from the unhappy marriage, and she never tried any means to get out of it..
看起來他倆是天生的一對，既和諧又幸福。
It seemed they were destined to be husband and wife, for around them all was harmonious and happiness existed everywhere.
